Since summer is almost here, I thought I would inform everyone about a volunteer opportunity. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be able to go because of the SAT, but it would be a really fun thing to do with a group of people. Let me know if you have any questions!
The Tennessee Department of Conservation- Natural Areas Division is hosting a trail repair and maintenance day at Shelby Farms in the Lucius Burch Jr. State Natural Area on June 7 from 8 am to 12 pm. Volunteers will repair the Blue Trail by re-routing sections around wet areas, removing pivet, building steps and short boardwalks, and installing signs at the trail heads.
